Heading Home

It’s been such a lovely, relaxing trip. It’s always so much fun to visit with Gail. Get a little knitting done…eat some yummy food…take naps in the afternoon. Perfection!

It rained the entire time we were here, but hey…yesterday WAS the first day of fall, after all. It was chilly but I have a small electric heater that I run when I’m up doing stuff in the camper, and an electric blanket on the bed so I was comfy cozy. The only thing I noticed was the humidity in the camper. We had 100% humidity all three days. The floor was cold so there was condensation everywhere…even with the window open. I’ll have to run a dehumidifier in it when I get home.

Gail and I drove up to Columbiana to The Dutch Cupboard to pick up my bulk order. With the price of gas and diesel going up, it is only a matter of time when there will be shortages and the prices will go even higher. I bought bulk staples like rice, pinto and navy beans, oats and four kinds of wheat. We’ll have plenty to eat and make bread with for the next year, at least. Bethany was so helpful and accommodating and nice, to boot!

I’ll get stuff gathered up here, give Gail a hug, and head back home to my sweetheart today. I’m so much more a homebody these days…I’ll be tickled to get back to our routine.

Till tomorrow, dear ones…

Ginny

“Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest.”
