It’s so hard to say goodbye after such an amazing trip! We squeezed every bit of fun out of the last two weeks that we possibly could. But the very best was time spent on the beach, contemplating the beauty of our surroundings and eating our way through the South. Y’all sure know how to show a girl a good time down here! Seafood is one of my all time favorites and it was absolutely wonderful.

We stayed at Ocean Lakes Family Campground near Surfside Beach. It is literally a city unto itself. They keep the place immaculate and it runs like a well oiled machine. Security is ever present without being intrusive. You don’t get into this place without a pass. Unless you walk up the beach. The beach sustained some damage from the storms the first week and maintenance was quick to repair it. I can’t say enough good things about this place.

Today we are off to…I don’t know, someplace fun. We need to wean down on the fun thing or we’ll crash when we get home. Of course, we DID spend our last evening doing laundry at the Soapy Suds Laundromat! That ought to help.
