The book proposal has been submitted! I hit “send” around 3:00 yesterday afternoon. Forty-three pages, nearly 20,000 word proposal for a thirty chapter book with a projected word count of 76,000 words! Holy cats!!! Within moments, I was dancing around the kitchen like I’d just chugged three Red Bulls. Within an hour I was like “Hmmmm, I hope she likes it. Do you suppose I should have talked a little more about this and a little less about that? I wonder how long it will take to hear from her! OMGosh! They’re gonna hate it. I mean, what’s so important about my story?”
“Shut up, Ginny, and dance!”

Wahoo!!! I danced, then I went out for dinner with Sisters and celebrated with Mexican food! Afterward, we walked around this lake. Michelle timed the walk perfectly so we could catch the sunset from the far side. Beautiful night!

Now, this doesn’t mean I’m done. This just means the proposal is done. At least the first draft is. Now I keep working on the chapters while I wait to hear from Italia, my agent. I’ll never be “done” writing because there will always be another book, another post, another story. I’m good with that. I cannot imagine a day without writing. I really can’t.
