I’ve been posting the Sunday Evening Prayer Circle for a few years now. I love that we can come together and pray for each other and lift those in need. Prayer is so powerful and helps everyone involved…pray-er and pray-ee. I also post from time to time when there is urgent prayer needed and I appreciate every single one of you that take the time to pray with me.
We don’t always get an update on these prayer requests and today I wanted to share a couple with you.
A few weeks ago, I asked for prayers for my friend Janine’s niece, Lauren. She had a brain bleed the day before her due date. After the subsequent surgery, she had a massive brain stem stroke that left her with “locked in syndrome.” This is where the patient has full mental faculties, but their body is totally paralyzed. She knows what’s going on, but can’t speak or move. Lauren was moved to a specialty rehabilitation hospital in Chicago when she stabilized. After intense therapies, she can now nod her head up and down, her vocal cords are waking up, and she can moved her left foot a little. This is HUGE, considering the prognosis and the family covets your continued prayers as Lauren works hard to come back to her husband and little baby girl.
Monday evening, I posted an urgent prayer request for my dear friend Sharon’s grandson Kyle. He was in a car accident where both vehicles rolled. Fortunately, Kyle and his friend were wearing seatbelts. His friend was able to scramble out of the car, but Kyle was stuck and unconscious. He was life-flighted to National Children’s Hospital in Columbus. He had severe lacerations to his scalp and was sedated and intubated in ICU. He drifted in and out of consciousness, and finally came around enough that the breathing tubes could be removed. He remained in ICU so they could monitor his brain function. Then, yesterday morning, Kyle was sitting up, wide awake in a recliner. No broken bones, no internal injuries, no brain damage! He was discharged home by last evening.
You cannot tell me that God isn’t still in the miracle business. There was every reason to believe either one of these cases could have ended very differently. I know the families of both of these young people, and I know God will use these difficult times for His Glory. I just wanted to take a moment and let you know how your prayers have helped people in real time.
Thank you so much for being here and always being ready to lift up those in need!

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:24 ESV
Yes, I saw a picture of his car today and even after all I have been thru……this was truly a miracle! God has plans. Thanks for the prayers.
