May the Fourth be With You!!!

I’ve lost count how many Grand Adventures this makes. The other day, Mr. FixIt was talking to one of his friends about my upcoming trip. He told the fellow I was about to embark on another adventure and will be pulling the camper to Colorado by myself. The guy was shocked. He said, “I don’t think I’d let MY wife do that!” Mr. FixIt laughed. “You don’t LET your wife do things. You support them doing the things they want to do that makes them happy!” Have I mentioned how much I love this man??? We haven’t spent more than a few days apart in the last three years. I’m going to miss him like crazy!!!

I have the portable kitchen packed. I have my clothes packed. I have the knitting projects I want to work on and the magazines I want to read. I made a wonderful supper of baked steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, and my home canned half-runners. (I’m going to need to can another bushel this fall.) I have a stock of Mr. Bee Potato Chips for the family. I searched like crazy and finally found the “add-a-pearl necklace” that Hubby #1 gave me when I turned eighteen. Now it goes to Big as her graduation gift. 

I have the truck in tiptop shape. I need to make a few stops on my way out of town today, then it’s just me, Mavis (my GPS), my Rand McNally Atlas and the open road. 

Even with the bad stuff happening around the world…life is good, y’all! And if you don’t like what’s happening…VOTE! And pray…a lot!!!
