My bonus daughter called us last week and told us she started getting Netflix and can have up to four people on her account so she made us a profile. I have to tell you…I have not used Netflix since you had to order the DVD’s and they mailed them to you!!! That’s dating myself, for sure! So, we’re kinda late to the party and I’m not sure we’ve missed too much.

I binge watched a few shows yesterday while I finished knitting the second sleeve of the baby sweater. I need to block them, then I can sew them together and knit the neckline and I’ll be finished with that one. I need to get back to the quilt I’m making for our granddaughter’s wedding next summer. And now I’m going to need to make one for the grandson getting married in May. Busy times!

The grass looks forlorn and scraggly. The tough fall grass is giving way to a baby fine grass so it’s long and shaggy in some places and dormant in others. As I figured, I’m too late for planting the pollinator garden this fall, but my friend Aimee has directed me to resources. There are some other things we need to do around the house before we spend money on that project. We need the roof done first.

Mr. FixIt bowled last night and did pretty well, all things considered. I had a quiet evening at home, which doesn’t happen very often anymore. Daughter #1 and her husband went to visit Big at college for Parent’s Weekend and had a wonderful time. Daughter #2 and her wife called last evening to catch up as did my bonus daughter. These are the things that warm this mother’s heart.

I’m wondering how long I have to wait to put up the Christmas tree. Hmmmmmm.
