Girls, you’ll never guess what we did yesterday! Little Gracie was finally ready to pick up from the RV Doctor! Hokey Smokes…I was SO excited. She looks beautiful….not a single dent. She actually looks better than new because they resealed everything…twice…to make sure there are no leaks. She got new skin on the passenger side, new decals and vent covers, a new jack, and a new awning. They even threw in a new tire cover for the spare on the back bumper. They combed over the roof to make sure it was sealed and wouldn’t leak. So mama’s a happy camper! Too bad it’s too doggone cold to sleep in her yet, but Spring is in thirty days. Well….Spring 1.0…you know there will be a couple of false starts before it gets and stays warm.
I didn’t get a chance to bake bread yesterday, but I’ll get on that today. The weather is going to be really cold till the weekend when it warms up again. I want to get out to The Farm for my annual Tax Marathon but it’s just not as fun when it’s too cold to sit out on the front porch. This is power outage season. I don’t mind so much not having water out there, but when it’s cold too, I prefer to be home. Mr. FixIt has an appointment in town today so I’ll work on the bread and enjoy the quiet here.
And the big news…well, at least it is big for me. I manage to fix my iPad. Not only that, when I fixed it the storage went down from 264G to under 19G! That is huge. It’s running like a brand new device now and I’m over the moon. Whenever I have a problem like this, I set it aside when I go to bed. I tell God we have a problem to fix. And the next day…somehow, some way…I get this clear solution that pops into my head. Ninety-nine percent of the time, it goes smoothly and the problem is fixed…better than new. God wants to help us even in the small, everyday things. I love it when the God-winks come!
This has been a long, hard winter. I know not everyone is feeling this way, but I’ve been really worried about the current events. My biggest fear is for my brother’s care and my family members in the LGBTQ community. I’m just praying hard every day, giving it to God, and throwing my heart and soul into helping others through their struggles. I have always been a bit of a Pollyanna, but I can’t blow sunshine up anyone’s skirt.
These are hard times, but I will not be broken. Look for the helpers and if you can’t find one…BE one. Someone can always use a lift up…a hug…a word of encouragement…a smile…a hand to hold…an ear to listen. But you don’t have to do or say anything. Sometimes the greatest gift you can give someone is to sit quietly beside them.
Just give people love. That’s all they need. In so doing…the love comes back to you.

““A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.””
