I Missed the Wedding!

Y’all…I had a long and busy day yesterday and by the time I got home, I was exhausted. The kitchen was a mess from all this sourdough stuff so I had to clean it before I fixed supper, then clean it after. You know how that is. Later, when I was ready to go out to the camper to write, I sent a note to my sister-in-law congratulating them for my nephew’s wedding. Then I said, “I’m really looking forward to seeing you on the live feed of the wedding tomorrow.” She responded, “We’re at the wedding now!”

I was crushed and just burst into tears. I thought for sure it was on Saturday…or maybe I thought yesterday was Thursday…but when I looked at my calendar, there it was! I called Mr. FixIt in the house and cried on the phone with him. Sweet man came out and hugged me. My S-I-L sent me a few pictures. That lifted my spirits. It was a gorgeous setting and they are such a beautiful couple!

It was just a long week with Mr. Virgo’s Angelversary, our friend’s health news, doing the income taxes, paying the other taxes, and then missing the BIG EVENT…it was just the straw that broke the camel’s back, so I’m cutting this short. A good night’s sleep will do wonders for my disposition. And now, since there isn’t a wedding tonight…I don’t have to miss our oldest WV granddaughter’s birthday party at the bowling alley tonight!

I’ll be back tomorrow.

💚

***Gratitude Journal***
Today I am grateful for my sister-in-law and her family. She is Hubby #2’s little sister. I know that in some divorces, you lose your spouse’s family as well. I would have none of that nonsense. She’s been my baby sister since I met her when we visited her dorm at college and wasn’t about to let anyone or anything split me away from them unless that’s what THEY wanted. I’m so proud of them all.
