Four days. Four full days. That’s what it took to get that old laptop of mine to do what I wanted to do. Last year it only too two days. Of course, I didn’t actually DELETE my account last year. When I went to bed Thursday night, I said a prayer. “God…I’m going to get some much needed sleep here. Can you work in my head and help me figure this out?” I got up yesterday morning and made coffee then sat down in front of that dreaded instrument and said, “OK. Today it’s you or me!!!” Suddenly a screen popped up and said, “Your antivirus protection is out of date!” In small print it listed the things this could cause including…making your computer run slow. Seriously? Seriously?!?!
I lacked confidence in the last virus protection I used so I purchased and downloaded Avast. It always worked really well for me. When I ran my first scan, there was a bunch of stuff on there that was wreaking havoc. This program is cool because it just fixes everything at the touch of a button. Once I ran two scans and cleaned till there wasn’t anything else to fix, I booted up Quicken and…OMGosh! It was fixed!!! The computer runs like a new one again! I got everything downloaded, entered, and backed up on two locations. Now I can work on my taxes next week. Thank you for the pop up, God! It worked!
Even in the littlest things…the everyday frustrations…you can plea to God for help. My stepmother used to say “Thank you, Lord” every time she found a parking space. There are dark forces in the work that want to regain balance when we tip too far to the light. Last weekend, my light was shining like the Northern Star. Monday morning I got attacked with all this computer stuff. I actually stood up on the second day and said out loud, “Greater is He who lives in me than he who lives in the world so you just get on out of here! I’ll show you!” I love a sweet Victory and a happy ending! ❤️
“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
1 John 4:4 ESV
PS…Guess what yesterday was? National Backup Day?
Even the “little” things He cares about. They actually are mountainous to us and microscopic to Him.

I have missed you, somehow you always make me happy!
