Not only was the weather perfect, but the company was as well. Our oldest great grandchild celebrated her “6th Birthday” yesterday complete with her own bouncy house and an appearance by Elsa, the Princess from Frozen. After a couple little hiccups getting there, we arrived just in time to see Elsa and some fine little Princesses singing and dancing. Oh, it had to be a storybook birthday for our little one and one she’ll never forget!
Once the candles were lit and blown out, the pizza was eaten, and the gifts were opened, we begged our leave and ran some errands. We needed to go to Lowe’s to find something to rig up the antenna for our new cell phone booster. We were designing things in our heads faster than we could make the other understand and I was hangry. A nice salad later and I was back on an even keel.
We went home and I started to back the mower out of the building when I looked down and there was an old spare tire mount for a camper we sold last year. I took one look at it and knew our antenna dilemma was likely over. I took it out and showed it to Mr. FixIt and we both agreed this could be the answer for mounting the antenna to the camper. It needs a small adaptation so he’ll take it to the welder today to have it fixed.

We are in a crunch now. It’s finally dry enough and we have the time to mow. I got a good deal done yesterday afternoon and will finish today. I need to take things out of the camper that we don’t need and stock it with what we do. Fortunately Beans mowed at the farm over the weekend so we don’t have to try to fit that in. We head out Wednesday morning, so what doesn’t get done, either won’t or we’ll get what we need when we’re on the road. I’m not stressing about it.
One thing I am going to take with me is my super find of the week. We arrived early for our eye appointments last week and walked to the end of the building where the Goodwill is. We like to pick around and see if there’s anything we can’t live without. (What was it I was saying just last week about needing to get RID of stuff??? lol) Anyway, we found a metal basket that you roast corn in over a fire. That’s going with us. But the coup de gras was a Yeti can cooler. They normally cost $25 and I got mine for $.99!!! Whoop, Whoop!!!

When I became a widow, I discovered fuzzy blankets really helped to comfort me. Now, I design them with my favorite photos and scriptures to comfort others who are bereaved.
