This was taken a ways back. I ran across it this week and it just makes me smile!
I didn’t get much sleep Sunday night. I was SO excited about the shop opening. And, I admit…a little nervous. I went through everything in the shop, over and over, till I couldn’t see straight and I finally called it good a 2:00AM. When I woke up at 7:30 and turned the “Sleep Focus” off my phone, it chimed and jingled with all the notifications that told me you’d been busy looking and liking my shop. I was tickled to pieces!
I woke up feeling like a student getting out of school with a glorious summer stretched out before her. That was a long stretch of work and it was such a joy to see it live. My work isn’t finished. I need to design new products every week but that’s the beautiful part of this. When you’re doing something you love, you never work. So, nearly eleven years ago, I set out to make money through my creativity. And here I am! Doing all the things!
I finally got down to the studio yesterday to work on the quilt! Sometimes I need to have something give me a jump start to get motivated. Once I get back on the horse I can usually get things done. I got a little less than two rows of the quilt sewn together. I may just get this thing done before the wedding after all!
Mr. FixIt fiddled around with some projects while I was sewing and working on the computer. I did laundry and just took such pleasure in a sunny spring day. I’m looking forward to a week of creating in a different way….rain or shine!

“Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell; they sing among the branches. From your lofty abode you water the mountains; the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.”
Psalm 104:12-13 ESV
