It’s nothing to write home about. We ate, knitted, and enjoyed each other’s company. A friend we hadn’t seen in a long time came by to visit. The other two gals who are camping with us showed up midafternoon. We caught up with each other’s stories. Michelle and Lynn hadn’t been here since the campground was reopened after the reclamation project was completed so they were in awe at the thousands of trees that were planted. I learned something new. The trees they removed during the reclamation project were non native species and they’ve replaced them with trees native to Ohio. Thinking ahead for the generations to come. What a novel approach. You don’t see that so much anymore.
The only bit of excitement was something electrical with my camper. Well, not the camper itself, but I came back in after visiting over coffee and there was no electric in the camper. I went out and checked and worked around and finally figured out my surge protector finally bit the dust. I looked online and discovered those things should be replaced every 3-5 years and I’ve had this one for 10 years so it was way past its life expectancy. We checked online and Gail could get a delivery as soon as tomorrow so I went ahead and ordered a new one.
What did we do before the conveniences of today? When I went in the big box store on Sunday to pick up some last minute items, I noticed an area full of totes with groceries in them. There were several people pushing carts around the store, filling the baskets from shopping lists so people can just drop by and pick up their items. This one of the things that came with Covid and I think it’s going to stick.
Today is more of the same. Gosh…I love camping!!!

I love the softness of a light scarf to wrap around your shoulders. Fashion and function is the name of the game for me anymore.
