A Perfect Autumn Day

“O clap your hands, all you people; Shout to God with the voice of triumph and songs of joy.”  PSALM 47:1 AMP

What an amazing day. First was the message at church. We had a guest pastor preach a few weeks ago and I didn’t get to go. They replayed his sermon yesterday and I am telling you…I was dumbfounded. I sat with my hand clasped over my mouth through most of it because he was speaking directly to me. Have you ever had that happen? You have a set of things bothering you and you go to church and God speaks to your heart…directly addressing that thing, that ONE thing that has troubled you or you’ve been dragging around. That was yesterday. It hit SO many points, I’m still processing it. I’ll talk more about that when I get it figured out.

After church, we went to a produce market and bought some pumpkins and gourds for decorating then we came home and picked up the utility trailer and headed way out in the hills to pick up two pickup loads and a trailer full of hay bales. Forty in all. I think that should be enough for seating in the tent. I took some really cool photos at the hay dudes farm. Such a nice young man. His dad had bought the farm from his grandma when she became sick. Then, just a few months after his grandma died, his dad died in an accident and he inherited the farm at the age of twenty-eight. He’s a clean-cut, hardworking young man and I really liked him.

I’ve come up with six more quilts. The hunt is still on!

SIX DAYS!!!!! ❤️

  1. It is amazing when and how God speaks to us. Glad you were listening. That is our problem most of the time, we miss out on some amazing words from God, because we don’t listen. Wedding day is almost here, so excited for you. Praying for you both and for Saturday to go Great!!!

  2. I have had a couple of experiences that God didn’t just speak to me, He bonked me over the head. Our council Chairman did something that just totally pushed my buttons the wrong way. I sat in church and just fumed and started thinking of what other church I might like to attend. We had a visiting Pastor that day and I can’t remember what the whole sermon was about but the one sentence that was aimed at me was, “Don’t let personal differences destroy your church!” I left in tears that day but still remain an active member both of the church and the board.
