I awoke at about 3:30 yesterday morning to the sound of rain on the tin roof at Grandma’s house. Oh, that sound instantly takes me back to my childhood. We used to go to The Farm nearly every weekend when I was growing up. Unless my cousins were there to play with, my Bubby and I kept each other company. My brother has Cerebral Palsy and he couldn’t play like me. He and I sat on the floor with our feet touching making a diamond with our legs. We rolled a ball back and forth between us. Or we played with toy trucks. When we got older, Uncle Bob taught us how to play checkers.
When my Bubby was too tired to play, I headed outside for hours. Hunting for bugs and turtles and old bird nests. Maybe a snakeskin…or pollywogs in the puddles to keep in a jar. I was definitely a tomboy. This yard and crick kept us busy and taught us to appreciate nature. I took science and biology very seriously when I was in school. I’ve always been fascinated in how things worked. The skills I gained from that served me well all my life.
Once I had breakfast, I made my RYZE Mushroom Coffee and went out on the front porch to bask in the sun. It was 68° yesterday afternoon! OMGosh! It was heavenly sitting out there with the sunshine on my face! I decided to clean a little and get packed up. I wanted to get back to my sweetheart!
I received good news yesterday. First, Daughter #2 was feeling a bit better by late afternoon. They’re talking about sending her home on oxygen for a little while. I also heard from Hubby #2. His numbers are improving and kidney seems to be doing a good job. Both wonderful things and the answers to many prayers!

Today I am grateful my daughter is improving, as is her dad. These are prayers answered! Thank you to all who have been praying for them both.
