The fleas are back!!! OMGosh! Seriously? I went downstairs to look for a container of some sort to hold birdseed to keep from attracting mice and, sort of as an afterthought, looked down at my ankles. There they were. Nasty little buggers! Not many, but more than one so it wasn’t a hitch hiker. I’m still within the 30 day warranty so they need to come out and spray again.

I have the bird feeders hung on the new garden hook out front. My friend hung a roll up shade on the front porch to keep the heat down in the late afternoons. It was 90 degrees when I sat down to write this yesterday afternoon. It has been so long since we’ve had rain, the earth is cracking open. The leaves are turning brown and falling off. It’s hot and sticky humid. The kind where you can’t get dry after you shower. I take moon baths. I stand out back and wash with the water in the rain barrel. I pretend there’s no air pollution contaminating the rain water. ?

This book isn’t going to write itself so I’m back at it. I wrote the introduction yesterday and updated the proposal accordingly. I cannot write creatively unless I’m feeling inspired. It’s a Gemini thing, I think. Extremely frustrating, to say the least. I just keep plugging away at it as I can. Fortunately, my agent understands that good writing can’t be rushed. Thank God for that!!!
