Now that I’m here and got some rest, I’m ready to go out and ride my bike and kayak but I’d like to find some folks to join me. It will take some looking around, but I’ll find some like-minded individuals. I went to the movies with the kids yesterday and saw Pitch Perfect 2. I’ve watched the first one so many times. This one was just as good, I think.
I’m home tonight by myself after spending the day with the kids. I’ve become accustomed to being alone. My daughter and I have been filling my calendar with this and that so the summer is shaping up to be a busy one. The kids will be going to a family wedding in a couple of weeks so I’m going on a trip to the mountains while they’re away. There will be cookouts, swim meets, sleepovers and camping trips with the littles. I get to spend the evening with my younger daughter tonight so I’m really looking forward to that. She has a crazy work schedule so it’s not as easy spending time with her.
Life in Colorado is vastly different than life in West Virginia. I realize the reason I had so much fun in West Virginia was because I had a huge social network there. It seems like a lot more work in the city to find people to do things with. A little down time can’t hurt anyone but I need to keep active and socialize. It’s good for me in many ways.
