Would someone please tell me why I’m not in Florida right now??? This temperature was recorded at 8:30 last night. It’s supposed to be 5℉ at 6:00 this morning. But here I am, toasty warm. I have an awesome furnace in this camper. Also, I have a fleecy, long sleeved jammie shirt on and my trusty electric blanket so I’m good. It’s not nearly as cold as it was out at the farm. I was parked in a shady glen so there was no solar gain.
Yesterday was a busy day. I took everything out of the cabinets in the living room and started getting rid of extra stuff I haven’t used. Then things were carefully packed to maximize space. I also put away the clothes I brought back with me from the apartment. I pulled out two empty plastic tubs to use as a “chest of drawers”. They fit perfectly on the unused nightstand on the unused side of the bed. I gathered a load of laundry to go do. I packed my summer clothes in my empty suitcase to conserve space. I put out my electric wax warmer on the counter in the bathroom and now it smells like cinnamon apples in here.
I had an appointment in town this afternoon and afterward I went to pick up a needlepoint I had reframed. I picked up a silk ivy in a basket to make the camper feel more homey. When I returned home, I worked more on organizing. I can’t stress how important it is to keep only the essentials and to make sure they are stored in a logical way in order to put your hands on what you need when you need it. I’m feeling good about the way it’s shaping up.
One of my new friends is on her way to FL for a week of cycling. She’s in a tent in 30℉ in Georgia. Oh no…no, no, no. If I’m “camping”, there had better be somewhere to plug in my electric blanket! Just look up at the top of this picture…see? The Weather Channel even knows me!
