We are about to get hit with record breaking arctic weather. Actually, there are many places in America that will be colder than Antarctica today. That’s crazy! While I do not like cold weather like this, I can tolerate it if I don’t have to go out in it. So far this winter has been fairly mild in West Virginia with hardly any snow. Soon we will be past the threat of major storms and spring will be on its way.
Yesterday, I accomplished very little. A couple of phone calls. Some paper work. I tidied up the kitchen and watched some old sermons I missed at church. But the rest of the day was spent knitting under my fur throw and watching old shows on TVLand. Andy Griffith and MASH. Part of me felt like a slug. The other part of me said it’s ok to do self care in the winter because God knows we work hard in the summer.
I found this photo on Unsplash…a free source of stock photos in an app I use call Over. Whenever I use a stock photo, I always place a photo credit in the lower left hand corner, even though the photos are free. I do use a lot of my own photographs here, but I believe in putting credit where credit is due. I received a private message yesterday regarding the painting I shared with you last March. It’s the one of the woman jumping in Jesus’ arms. Someone has questioned whether the artist got permission from the photographer to use the photo in his art. I don’t know the answer to that. I have come to know the artist as a good Christian man and I do not believe he would do anything nefarious. That being said, if there is even a question regarding copyright infringement, I can’t be involved. That makes me sad, but I have to do the right thing for me and my “brand”. The worst part about this is, the art thieves made out like bandits at the artist’s expense and they will never be caught or prosecuted. I hope it gets resolved and the art will be made available at some point because it really struck a chord with people. ❤️
“For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of man.”
2 Corinthians 8:21 NIV
The art you are talking about is making the rounds again on FB…I saw it a couple of weeks ago.
I heard. I haven’t seen it yet. ?
I’m glad you mentioned the Artist. I was wondering if it ever got solved. Waiting patiently for his work to be available. Shame on those who capitalized on his gift. God doesn’t like ugly spirit.
