We all need to be encouraged on this road of life. Some have a smooth course. Others fraught with potholes and peril. Some coast merrily along while others struggle up the toughest, steepest roads making the slightest progress. I pray, every single day, over my keyboard. I pray that God will bring me the words He needs me to say and the people who need to hear them. God knows all things. He knows when this writer needs encouragement, as well. He sent Sue to tell me she sends my posts to her ailing husband. He sent me her ailing husband so that I might have the opportunity to minister to him. The enormity of this responsibility is not lost on me and I pray I am worthy of the task. I cannot write God’s words. But I can share what the Holy Spirit moves me to say. So, here goes…

Brave Warrior…

He sees your struggles. He knows your pain. Speak to Him in the stillness of the sleepless night. Cry out for Him when you lose your way in your struggles. Ours is a mighty foe but one which cannot ever take you away from Him. He is the Truth, and the Light. He is the Way. He will comfort you and carry you all the days of your life and when those days are spent, He will cleave you unto Him as a mother coddles her nursling. You need only ask and He will bear your burdens. He will hold you, and those who love you, and guide you through what only He knows is yet to come. Do not be afraid. Rest in Him, Brave Warrior, for He sees in you the spark of life. He will breathe His breath upon it. Only He can set you free.
