I’ve failed as a Nana. This morning over breakfast, I told my grand daughters that today my goal was to make sure they were absolutely miserable. Under no circumstances were they to have fun…at all! They laughed at silly Nana. We went to the Glenwood Adventure Park to ride the rides. The country’s highest altitude roller coaster is there. This picture was taken a couple hundred yards below that coaster and look how tiny the interstate is below.
I may or may not have peed my pants on said roller coaster. You will never know. ? We did the Alpine Coaster…as close to bobsledding as you’ll likely do. We did the little family coaster, as well as these swings that are attached to something like a merry go round. When they really get going, you’re flying out over the edge of the canyon wall and looking down 1030 feet to the interstate below. OMGosh! I think I may have uttered some words that I had to apologize to my grandchildren for!
We had lunch on the veranda then went to the Hot Springs Pool. We ended the evening at my favorite Mexican restaurant with fried ice cream for dessert. The girls laughed and poked fun at me and told me I failed miserably…because they really HAD fun…and lots of it!
Score for Nana! Camp TOW-Wanda was well received on Day 2! Today we head to a more remote area and I have no idea what my cell service or WiFi scenario will be so if you don’t hear from me, don’t worry…I’ll be back!
