“Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,” Exodus 23:25 NIV
Remember that song? You never realize how sick you were till you feel better. My medication list just got longer…for the next twelve days, at least. But it’s a small price to pay at this point.
I went to the farm yesterday to look for something and do some laundry. When I walked up on the back porch, I noticed the cats had left a Ritual Sacrifice to the Food God. This one was of the rodent variety. Not sure of the significance, but it is their way of showing love…however icky. At least it wasn’t one of my pretty songbirds. As I was feeding Boy Cat, he shot past me and made a bee line for the driveway. I knew he was after something and soon he came back proudly carrying a frog to present to me. Of course, as soon as he set down the frog in front of me, it took off. I managed to shoo that cat enough to give the frog a chance to make his escape and soon Boy Cat was happily munching on his real supper.
As I walked into the house, I saw all the boxes. I have to tell you, my heart sank for a moment. I was so sick last week that I actually forgot for a moment they were out there. They’ll have to wait for a while though. Winter is coming fast enough and I’m not going to miss out on a moment of this gorgeous weather coming up. We are to have a very hot week, then things should cool off. There are already a lot of leaves changing around here. Spots of gold are everywhere and leaves are falling on some varieties of trees. I won’t mind cool nights. They make sleeping so much better.
The grass desperately needs cut out at the farm and I was actually smart enough to refrain from trying to mow it myself. I consider that a major accomplishment. I am not always to responsible. Unfortunately, I have shared this virus with Mr. FixIt and he’s feeling pretty miserable this evening. I certainly hope I can get him through this quickly. I don’t think he will have the same lung issue with it because he doesn’t have asthma like me. Thank goodness! I’m sterilizing everything because these respiratory viruses can live on surfaces for ten days. That’s how people keep getting reinfected.
Well, it’s Monday. Go out there and make it a good week and be good to each other. A smile can be such a blessing to someone that it bounces right back on you! ❤️
Hi Ginny. I hope you’re feeling better. Not sure if you can edit these blogs, but you said in this one that you’ve shared your virus with Mr Virgo instead of Mr Fixit. Chalk it up to medication… feel better!
Yep, I’m blaming it on steroids! Thanks for the heads up. My readers are great! ❤️

Yep, I finally slipped. I’ll chock up to steroids and late nights. You weren’t the first to point it out. Thank you so much for your attention. It makes my job easier! Mr. FixIt is sleeping it off. Hopefully he feels better soon. ❤️
