Children chasing ducks in the cool breeze. A hippie man with his Husky flashing a peace sign as I cruise by, the brilliant white flash of a smile. Joe Robinson’s beat spilling out of the speakers of my pickup. A day spent with some of the coolest women on the planet. A workout at the gym. Lunch and great conversation with a friend. A long walk. A trio of trombones performing an impromptu concert in a small gazebo tucked away in a quiet corner of the park. Tiny black squirrels scampering just out of reach. New lovers, new babies, new life. Breathe.
Yesterday was one of those days that sparkled. It seemed everywhere I went there was joy…relief that the long, dark days of winter are gone. I am grateful for my family. I am grateful for this life. I am grateful for my Savior who died for my sins.
It’s Resurrection Day. May you have a blessed Easter, dear ones.

“Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.”
