OMGosh! Did y’all watch that Super Bowl game??? Mr. Virgo was a diehard Eagles fan so I have to root for them. I’m nearly hoarse from screaming with every sack and touch down. Now, don’t get me wrong…I really like the Chiefs and I think Mahomes is a talented quarterback. But, if they’re up against the birds…I gotta go with Philly.

I’m always eager to see the Super Bowl commercials and I have to say…I loved all the messages of peace and love and kindness. I always love the commercials from He Gets Us. They had an uplifting message that spoke of Jesus’ attributes. This year’s message was about greatness. Jesus’ idea of what being great really means. You can find it HERE.

I think the funniest commercial was for Doritos where the aliens are trying to “beam up” his bag of chips. I thought the puppy-monkey-baby was ridiculous. And, while I like some rap, I don’t care for Kendrick Lamar or explicit lyrics. Not that you could make out anything he said. I even went on the internet to get the lyrics for his playlist and, besides being riddled with profanity…I just didn’t get it. It was like reading Greek. I guess I’m too old for this. Edit: I actually read an article that explains it. I kept telling Mr. FixIt that it felt like a protest song but I wasn’t getting it. Turns an out, that’s exactly what it was. It was about racism. Now I I get it.

I’m going to knitting group this morning and other than Mr. FixIt having a medical appointment on Wednesday, we don’t have anything scheduled. That is fine with me. When we don’t leave the house, I don’t add miles to my truck and I don’t spend money. Win-Win! 

Hope you had a nice weekend. We’re supposed to get another snowstorm tomorrow into Wednesday so it’s nice to be cozy in the house.

Today I am grateful for the technology that allows me to see my Colorado family via FaceTime. I really miss them and I love catching up on Sundays.
