That is me on my first birthday. Grandma called me “Pet”. I think she called all little ones “Pet”, but I’m going to pretend it was just for me. I’m painting the living room while I wait for the toxic waste to nuke the fleas. It may be working. Of course, I’m probably going to grow a third arm out of my forehead!
As I was painting I noticed it was getting really black outside. I’m beginning to be able to read the skies better out there now. I’m used to the wide open sky of Colorado where you see a storm coming from miles off. This one looked bad so I quit painting and quickly cleaned up. The pump on the well runs on electric and service can get dicey in the country. Good thing I did because I no sooner turned off the water till the skies opened up and we got a torrential downpour. We had a big crash of thunder, the electric flickered a couple of times, then went off at 6:00. It was still off at 9:45 in the morning when I headed to the nearest place for coffee and Wi-Fi. Yes…Wi-Fi! There’s a little town east of me with a gas station, convenience store, restaurant and tire center. Good country breakfast, coffee and Wi-Fi. And they said I can stay as long as I want to! Wahoo!!!
So, with a full tummy, hope for a flea-free house, and deadlines to meet, I leave you for another day.
