Daughter #2 and I got a chance to spend a few hours together yesterday. We had coffee at the house then went shopping at Target. Man, that store has changed since the last time I went there. I used to shop Target all the time, but we don’t have one anywhere near where we live in West Virginia. After shopping at Walmart all these years, Target looks like an upscale department store.
We went out to breakfast at Sam’s No. 3…a wonderful diner in Cherry Creek that has the most extensive menu I think I have ever seen. Eggs Benedict was my choice yesterday and it was divine. If you ever go to Denver and get to spend any time there, you really should go.
We had a big family gathering with those who were in town yesterday. Lots of food and homemade ice cream. The fireworks were going off all around us. And Mother Nature provided some of her own! We had two big storms blow through with a tornado watch and lots of hail. It did succeed in cooling things off immensely, which was very nice.
I showed the girls the dresses I’ve bought that I could wear to the wedding and we all agreed on one. Also, I gave them the quilt I made for their wedding gift and they loved it! It was a beautiful day with my Colorado family.

It’s all I can do to dash on & out of Wmart–the racket is more than my brain can tolerate. I do my ‘granny clothes’ & home goods shopping online with a few reputable places. Just as well. Saves me money–I’m historically an impulse shopper!

p.s.: if you have any need for wedding clothing accessories, there’s a great gallery & accessory shop in downtown Golden if you’re near Denver. Baby Doe’s Clothing & Accessories on Washington street in old downtown.
Thanks for the tip! ❤️
Glad you are having a good time with your family:)
