I went to coffee with the Class of ’71 girls yesterday. Oh my gosh…we are such a hoot when we get together. We’re all healthy, for the most part. We’re grateful, we’re funny, we’re loving life. Spending time with the Warrior Queens…those Wild, Wonderful, Wacky WV Women…has been one of the highlights of my time spent in my homeland the last few months. They are more than friends…they are family. Women need girlfriends. I tell young women just starting out in a marriage…”Don’t neglect your girlfriends. You’re going to need them.” Good advice.

While talking back and forth over coffee, the topic of the upcoming snowstorm came up. I wondered how far south I could get in eight hours if I left right then. Someone asked, “Will you take TOW-Wanda?” Nah…I’d probably just drive. Sigh. That’s when I looked across the table at my friend and we had the same idea. She said “Let me run to Lowe’s and order my sink and we’ll go get her.” So, we did! TOW-Wanda is now sitting on the bluff overlooking the beautiful Ohio. OMGosh! I was literally doing the happy dance!!! Now she’s fairly close. I can run over to see her. I can read and take naps in her, just like I did in the original TOW-Wanda last winter. I now have a goal. Get the photos scanned. Get the stuff out of the cellar house. Get her travel ready. And go on a road trip! There are so many beautiful reasons to be happy and this really is a fun one!
