This is the season of richness. An abundant harvest is the reward for many hours invested during the summer months. Autumn is a beautiful time of year anywhere, but especially in the east. I just spent three great days with three great gals…all camping women. And we spent those days encouraging women to go places and do things. By encouraging others, we ourselves were given a boost in our own enthusiasm for traveling in our campers.

I shared my story of losing Mr. Virgo to a sudden heart attack while looking at a camper to buy for retirement fun. People were amazed that I live in my camper full time….alone. There were so many women there in the autumn of life who were searching for something. Freedom. Adventure. Excitement. Change. Encouragement. Empowerment. Permission. Joy. To see their eyes light up when they saw the campers. To see them get the affirmation they needed when they saw this curvy, 60-something, very hip Nana who pulls a 30′ camper all by herself. To see them realize they can be GIRLS again. That was priceless. That is their reward for tending the gardens of their lives through the growing years. Now it’s time to reap a little fun out of life.
