Someone mentioned the other day that our “triplets” may actually be a set of twins and a spare from another mother. I think they may be right because I have not seen baby #3 hanging with these two since the first night I saw them. I’m just going to believe nothing bad happened to her.
I woke up all bright eyed and bushy tailed yesterday morning. There’s nothing better than a good night’s sleep…with NO interruptions…to make the coming day full of vim and vigor. I didn’t get quite the early start I would have liked. If I would have, I might have ended the day with the entire five acres mowed instead of three fourths.
It was busy from the get go. I took the truck in to Walmart to get the oil changed and the tires rotated, picked up the prescriptions, paid the Lowe’s bill. When I was getting my card out of my wallet, I noticed I still had three Walmart Gift Cards. Well…tomorrow is my birthday, right? So, I marched myself right back over to that big box and bought something I’ve been eyeing.
I miss ice cream. I really don’t want to spend the calories on it, but even worse…I don’t want to suffer the after effects of lactose intolerance. Enter the makers of Ninja Creami with their ever so wonderful commercials. Ooooooooh, the things I could make with this thing. I mean, I need another appliance like I need a hole in my head, but I have the cravings for ice cream. What can I say. These things are spendy…I’m not going to lie. But…gift cards! They brought this thing down to a reasonable amount and…it’s my BIRTHDAY TOMORROW. Duh!
There are certain maintenance things you need to do with a camper. Every 10,000 miles or so, you should get the bearings repacked in the hubs. We’re pushing that now and with the big trip across the country, it really needs to be done before we go. I drove over to PKB RV and set up a time this Saturday to have that done. I also need to get new tires. They have them in stock…all I have to do is show up and get them.
I picked up the mail on the way home and there was a package in there. I didn’t think I had ordered anything so I was puzzled. Turns out, it was a couple of skeins of beautiful sock yarn and a new kind of circular knitting needles from Skacel. They are square with little ridges that keep your yarn from falling off! My bestie, Gail sent them to me for my birthday. I was so busy I didn’t get a picture of them, or of the Ninja Creami. I’ll try to snap those tomorrow with links.
Mr. FixIt washed the camper today. It was in desperate need as it hadn’t been done since we got back from the beach last October. I really wasn’t too worried about the salt on it after the spring trip because we drove through some hellacious rain on the way home. When I got home, I didn’t have time to read about my new toy. I needed to get out on the mower. Once he was done washing the camper, Mr. FixIt picked up all that brush from where I trimmed on Sunday afternoon and took it out to the burn pile. It took two full truckloads to get it all. That battery powered trimmer really gets the job done! We called it a day just after 6:00 so we could eat and watch the news.
Today will be another busy day. There is ALWAYS something that needs doing here!
