Yesterday was a perfectly wonderful birthday! I was heading to town and kept getting delayed. As I finally set out, the thought came to mind, “It’s a dangerous road…take your time.” I don’t rush when I drive this little country road to town. I just kept getting his message…go easy, go easy. I’ve learned to listen. As I rounded a bend, there was an ice truck lying on its side nearly blocking both lanes. No one was injured, and because it had just happened and the police and rescue weren’t there yet, I got around it and made it to town for my appointment. My lesson is this…listen for that still, small voice. It guides you and protects you!
First stop was the chiropractor. I love her! She is such a hoot. Today she was full of stories about her Harley. After my adjustment, I went to brunch with a friend then ran errands in a hellacious thunderstorm. Finally headed home to feed the cats, plant some bushes, and clean the oven from the cherry pie juice that burned on the bottom.
I had a zillion friends and relatives and readers send birthday greetings. I honestly tried to answer each one personally but it was never ending. I finally had to resort to the old standard general message thanking everyone for their kindness. Such an amazing blessing and outpouring of love. I used up all my writing time and now I’m saying to all of you…thank you so much for your kind greetings for my birthday. I had the BEST day! You all are awesome!!! ❤️
“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
Isaiah 46:4 NIV
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your birthday, Ginny.
Love today’s scripture’s verse: “I had made you and I will carry you ” ….
