Little isn’t very little anymore. Turning fifteen is pretty cool for this grandchild of mine. We had a big day of cooking and laundry and cleaning. Little is into cosplay so there were lots of wonderful gifts that aligned with those interests…a long red wig, a crazy outfit, some really fun glasses and earrings shaped like sparkly radishes. Little is so much like me…marching to our own drums, creative, artistic, soulful, intelligent, funny.
Big texted me and asked if I wanted to go to IKEA with her and of course, I jumped at the chance. She and I don’t get a lot of time together and it was so nice to have a good conversation with her…just the two of us. I can’t believe how fast the time has gone and she’s off to college in the fall. It just doesn’t seem possible.
I received a call from a dear friend yesterday morning. I’ll get to visit with her when I’m up in the mountains camping next week. I love how certain friends pick up right where we left off and the conversation is easy.
Still knitting the teal socks with the patterned knit. Not a lot of knitting time when there’s so much going on. I’m so happy to be here visiting my babies! Mr. FixIt mowed at the farm today and built the new fire pit. It was a busy day for everyone!
