I have no idea how they came up with the name for Noom, but they hit it out of the park with their app. First off, let me say…I’ve lost FOUR pounds since Monday. I know…the first few pounds are water weight, but I’ll take anything I can get! I haven’t been a bit hungry and I have eaten anything I wanted. Yesterday morning was Mr. FixIt’s fabulous oatmeal. I mixed mine with blueberries and dehydrated peaches.
My sweetie always adds a heaping tablespoon of brown sugar, and adds cinnamon and my home brewed vanilla. So, so yummy. We never eat lunch but I had a midday snack of a cup of green seedless grapes. I fixed salmon, baked potato, and sweet kale salad with a little French Vinaigrette. I was so full afterwards, but as I’m writing this, I am sure I’ll have my daily yogurt before I go to bed.
It’s so easy to keep track of what you eat. If you’re cooking a dish that you make over and over, you can create a custom meal then you only have to enter all the ingredients once. You just name it, then the next time you make it, you just select the meal and everything in it goes on your food list. I didn’t get very many steps in yesterday. I had every intention of walking in the park when I went to the Post Office to mail Little’s birthday present. Once Little opens their birthday present, then I can share pictures. OMGosh! It was so cold and drizzly, I just didn’t have it in me to exercise. It will be warming up now, so it won’t be such a difficult thing to accomplish.
Seriously, if any of you want to try Noom, I can send you a link for a free trial and $20 off. Just send me a private message with your email address. I already have one person doing it with me. It can keep us accountable if we have a group to support each other. I think the statistic said that having a friend do the program with you increases your odds of reaching your goal weight by, like…32%. That’s pretty impressive.
I’m looking forward to having some sunny and warm weather so we can mow. Honestly, it looks like you could bale hay out in our field! I’ll have to cut the grass high, then run back over it cutting it to the normal height. We didn’t go anywhere yesterday and I still didn’t get all the things done that I wanted. Our internet was really dicey…probably because of the rain. If it’s still out today, I’ll have to call them. I write on my iPad and it uses cell service for data. But I’m out of luck when I need to use my laptop to work on my shop.
That’s about all the news from here. As I write this, I’m sitting in the camper…typing as I listen to the rain on the roof. It’s one of the things I love the most about camping. It’s so relaxing and I have to fight to keep from snoozing till it’s time to go to bed for the night. I continue to sleep so much better…I think I’ve found the right combination of “treatment” for my insomnia. It’s so wonderful to wake up after a solid night’s sleep!
