Yesterday was a really great day! I went to church with a friend and heard an amazing sermon about bridging the gap between churches. I attend a young church. The pastor said when he first got started, the other pastors around town were calling him and offering words of encouragement. The other pastors prayed for our success, which is how it should be. Then, we started to grow. Word got around town that the Warehouse Church was a place where miracles were happening and people flocked in droves. All of a sudden, those same pastors who had been “praying for our success” started talking negatively about our pastor. The thing about denominations is this…Jesus isn’t Baptist, he isn’t Methodist, he isn’t Church of Christ, he isn’t Protestant. He’s just Jesus. We should all be encouraging each other. There is a gap between churches. And there is a gap between Christians who are judgmental of other Christians. We need to bridge the gap. It was a wonderful service.
I’m reminded of Rodney King when he was arrested in the middle of the violence taking place in LA in 1992. “People, I just want to say, you know, can we all get along? Can we get along?” There have been episodes in the past that are as bad as, if not worse than, those we are dealing with now. Like grief, violence and anger and hatred seem to come along in waves. I’m desperately waiting for peace again because violence hurts my spirit. Look at these kitties. The two younger, orange and white ones, always make a wide berth around Ol’ Mama Kitty, and for good reason. She’d just as soon swat you as look at you, although she’s almost always sweet with me. After all, I am the Goddess of Food. But for some reason, last night these three were chummy. Kitty Boy, the youngest, was so happy and purring so loud he was actually making little mewling sounds. It was so sweet. What made this night different than all other nights? I don’t have any idea. But I’d like to bottle happiness and spread it around.
We are to be lights in the world. Let’s go out there and keep shining, no matter what the climate is, ok? ❤️
“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.”

Keep shining. Always leave a little sparkle wherever you go.
Thank you for sharing ❤️
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GINNY ! ??
mama kitty has had years of fighting off males who hurt her and leave her with kittens. it’s no wonder she gives no room for doubt about her wanting feline “friendship”. It’s kept her alive. That said, hopefully she will mellow if the boys around are neutered, and she is, as well. There will always be un-neutered males coming around causing trouble. They care NOT if she is neutered, their own drive is too strong,, and they will fight her, and the boys as well. CAT TRAPS.
