I have never been to a college ball game and I’ve always loved the Final Four. When I learned that WVU was playing Baylor who are undefeated, I knew I had to make the trek up to Morgantown…a place I’ve never been, believe it or not. Wow, what a game! WVU defeated Baylor, 89-68. There is so much excitement at a game when you attend. Lots of audience participation and of course, it’s always fun to watch college students supporting their team.

Baylor was ranked #1, not only in the Big 12, but also in the NCAA. The Mountaineers played with finesse and took them down. It was great fun to watch! I think the greatest highlight for me beyond the actual win was watching the students storm the court and the entire coliseum singing “Almost Heaven, West Virginia” with John Denver. It brought a tear of pride to my eyes to see our boys in Blue and Gold upset such a great team.

West Virginia has devout fans. I ran into friends at the game and that always makes me feel the closeness of our friendly state. We may be small, but we are fierce! Today, I’ll have a look around the campus and explore the town before I head back to the farm. It’s always nice to do something fun and adventurous…something I have never done. And…since this is my year to “REACH”…I’ll be doing more of that. Come on along…it’s gonna be a fun year! ❤️
