I’ve done more new things in the last three and a half years than I have in my entire life combined, I do believe. I’ve always heard of Oglebay Park in Wheeling and they put on a huge Festival of Lights at the holidays. Over 600 acres you drive through with animated light displays and trees galore. I’ve always wanted to go and since I’m leaving soon for Colorado, I decided to run up to see the spectacle and get my holiday month off to a great start!
While last night was fun, something awesome is happening this morning. My second father-in-law is having his cochlear implant turned on today and we’re all joining a live Facebook session to watch. Please say a prayer that all goes well and it gives him the gift of hearing again. It is so important for his quality of life since he is nearly blind from macular degeneration. He’s a good man and has worked hard all his life. He raised three kids on a meat packer’s pay and I love him dearly. Thank you in advance for sending some kind thoughts for Bernie.
Family…no matter who they are or how they come into your life, they are a part of who we are. I was blessed with three husbands and enjoy an extended family through them, even through divorce. I love every one of them. ❤️
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
