The angry rhetoric on my personal Facebook page lately has been disheartening. From people with whom I share genes to literal strangers who have somehow been included in my “friends list”, I have witnessed shocking ugliness. Shocking. Ok, perhaps my shock is intensified by the fact that I don’t watch TV except for The Voice and that’s all about the love. My news is gathered selectively. So my feelers are pretty untouched by outside influence.
I am not immune to what’s going on in the world. I do not have my head in the sand. I know where I stand politically, morally, ethically. Hateful, angry posts are going to get removed. I will “unfollow” those who spread this ugliness. If they unfriend me, I will send them on their way with love and light. But I will not engage. I will not engage.
The enemy’s modus operandi is “Divide and Conquer”. He lives off of chaos. He thrives on confusion. He pits man against man, brother against brother. The entire universe is energy. Everything. He understands that. He may be crafty but he’s not particularly creative. So he tricks us into doing his dirty work FOR him. And, like lemmings to the sea, we do it…every single time. He needs more team players. He knows how to recruit.
All negative, dark things are a low frequency energy. All positive, light things are high frequency. Even thoughts. Especially thoughts. Thoughts create and materialize in the real world. Elevate the frequency. Change the world. As Einstein says…”This is not philosophy. This is physics.” It’s just like turning a dial on a shortwave.
All this said, there comes a time when we need to stand up to defend ourselves, or others who cannot. With honor. There’s a difference between standing up with honor and saying, “Enough!” and with forming a lynch mob for everyone with the same facial characteristics of the evil doer.
Don’t let darkness pull you in and make him stronger. Don’t be afraid. Turn to the light. BE the light we need in the world today. Share the love.

“Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.”
Psalm 28:6-7 NIV
