I drove to Ridgway yesterday to visit my good friends Linda and Jim. I met Linda on FB two years ago through a mutual friend. She grew up kind of across the river from me. We both graduated in ’71 so there’s a ton of common ground.
My friends have company so guess where I got to sleep? Their little 14′ camper out behind the house! OMGosh! This is so reminiscent of Little TOW-Wanda. What a treat! That really brought back memories. What an amazing journey those three months were as I traveled the back roads and wilderness of Colorado. It seems like forever ago.
Linda’s house is on top of a mountain with amazing views. As we were preparing the camper for the night, these beauties came up to check us out. A mama with twin fawns. There are bears and what have you here. What a beautiful place to spend some time. Unfortunately, I could only stay one night. I’m stopping for lunch with one of my Sisters on the Fly friends today. It’s awfully quiet without Little’s chatter.
I marvel at this path I travel…where I’ve been, the things I’ve seen. Where will I go next…next week, next month, next year?
