This is the weirdest weather year just about everywhere. I wish I had my electric blanket on my bed…and I’m not in the mountains. I’m sure glad it wasn’t this cold last week when I was camping in the tent at 9,000 feet!
I’m always reminded of the difference in perspective. In the spring…after a long, cold winter…when the temperature hits 58, we’re out in shirtsleeves and shorts playing frisbee in the park. But you give us 58 in the middle of July and it feels like October! We’re pulling out the sweatshirts and wool socks. I used to always complain about how cold I was and Mr. Virgo said it was all in my head and if I just imagined myself warm, I would be. Then he bought me a fur coat so go figure! lol
I’m heading into a stretch where I’ll have my grandkids a lot while my daughter does some work towards her Masters Degree. They just got back from their vacation so the kids were full of stories at dinner tonight. New York City was a bit intimidating for them, I think…but they’ll have wonderful memories and pictures to share with their friends when they go back to school. I firmly believe the more experiences you can give kids, the easier they can get along with a variety of people with common experiences when they get older. I’m very proud of my daughter for taking the girls on a cross country road trip by herself. She’s got moxie!
