I had such a fun weekend! I went to town Saturday night and stayed over at my cousin’s house. I just adore him and his wife. Mike graduated from high school with me and we hadn’t seen each other in years yet we picked up right where we left off like no time had passed. I got up yesterday morning a went to a new church. They are at the kickoff of a major fundraising three year campaign and I had to laugh because Sunday’s service was much like tuning in to PBS expecting to watch a really great show only to discover it’s telethon time. 🙂 I’ll try them another time though. Nice people, good music, big church.
After church I ran up to Marietta to an auction. I was disappointed there weren’t any quilts and not much else that I was interested in. Later I went to my old high school to buy tickets for Friday’s big game against our arch rivals. That ought to be fun! Then I went to visit friends in the afternoon and evening.
My aunt wants to shop today so it’s off to town bright and early! Not a whole lot of exciting news for a Monday morning. Oh, my good friend Vicky put up her Christmas tree this weekend. Crazy girl! Mr. Virgo LOVED Christmas but even HE made me wait till the day after Thanksgiving to put up the tree. One year he kept it up till the 4th of July just because “the needles would NOT fall off that tree!” That was pre-Ginny. In Vicky’s defense, she got the tree at Goodwill for $10. She gets the most amazing deals! I used to love the thrift shops in Aspen. You could get incredible things for nothing. Haven’t had the time nor the inclination to thrift here…I still have stuff to donate! <3
