I am in need of some Sister time! I am not scheduled for a single Sister on the Fly camp out this summer and I’m totally bummed! So I reached out to some Sister friends and…voila! Tonight is dinner and a walk afterward then Tuesday we’re gathering for dinner and live music. That’s the coolest thing about Sisters on the Fly…instant friends, just add fun. Available anywhere, anytime!
I am not in Denver as long this summer as I was last year. I had obligations at the beginning and end of summer so it cut my stay short here. I got to looking at the calendar and realized I only have three weekends left and they’re already spoken for. I’ve had a lot of fun and I’ll squeeze as much more fun in as I can manage. I’m also writing a lot so that’s cutting in on my fun time. I had to restructure my outline for the book proposal so that has me a few days behind schedule. I spent the entire day yesterday writing in a coffee shop. I met my younger daughter for coffee at 10:00 and ended up staying there till 5:00. So close, so close, so close!
Today is my wonderful son-in-law’s birthday. He is such a gem. A hard worker, a talented photographer, a great husband and father…he’s everything I ever wanted for my Julie. After hearing the sad news yesterday of our fellow Rancher losing her son-in-law in a hiking accident, I just want to hug on mine and tell him how much I appreciate him. Happy Birthday, Jason! And thank you for being the son I didn’t get to have.
