My goodness…these old campers were so tiny!
Mr. FixIt painted the ceiling in the hallway yesterday. There wasn’t really enough room for the two of us, and it really wasn’t all that big. So I let him do that while I worked on my project. The special events of the weekend are Big’s District Swim Championships and the Super Bowl. I’m thrilled I can watch Big swim live on the internet. And Mr. Virgo’s Eagles are playing in the Super Bowl so I’m pretty invested in this year’s contest.
My dear friend Gail was finally able to come back to her home yesterday after being evacuated due to the train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio. She said you can still smell the chemicals but the EPA continues to reassure them their air and water is safe. She stopped on her way home and got some bottled water. People are losing their animals…cats, dogs, chickens. One man raises domestic foxes and they had to put them down, so who really knows what’s the truth of the matter?
Our temperature got up to 72° yesterday, so as soon as it was an acceptable time, I went out to the camper to spend the night. I can’t remember if I slept out there in January or not, but I seem to think I might have. It was warm enough when I went out to open the windows and let in some fresh air. It’s time to put my other campers up for sale…camping season will be here before we know it! I have the Big Birdhouse. It’s a 2021 Rockwood A-Frame. Then there’s my old ‘67 Franklin that I just know I’m never going to be able to renovate. Lastly, there’s a 10-year old Grey Wolf Hybrid that is a project camper. It would make a great hunting camp trailer.
We will tackle the hallway tomorrow and get it painted then Mr. FixIt can put the trim back up and that job can be crossed off the list. One of these days, we’ll get the main bathroom finished. The really big job for the summer is the roof on the main part of the house. So much to do…always. I would really like to get this house fixed up then we could sell it and move to town and get a home where we can “age in place.” The clock is ticking, people.

Not all of us are able to write as eloquently as you make it seem. Running fast to get away from my forgetfulness, I decided to do a “daily diary”. Every day, I date the page and write down one thing that made me happy on that day. Yesterday, sometimes I do the same thing more than once and it brings a smile to my face. I enjoy your blog.
