I love it when God throws something down right in front of me. This time He said, “Here ya’ go, sugar. This one’s here to make sure you don’t forget to dance!” He is part of a large group of friends I’ve made who get together for dinners and live music. The next couple of weeks could be dangerous territory for me. Left to my own devices, I could wander down the dark alleys of my mind and forget I’m the one with the pulse. So, Saturday night at our group gathering to dine and dance to the Carpenter Ants, he loaned me a couple of CD’s introducing me to a musician I’d never heard.
Monday morning dawned cold and cloudy. Sigh. Come on Spring, get here already. I picked up my phone and opened my pictures. I found my favorite of Mr. Virgo. I blew it up as big as I could so I could look in at least one life sized eye. I talked to him. I told him I missed him coming in on Monday mornings and sitting on the edge of the bed when he brought me my coffee. I cried and told him it just isn’t fair. And it’s not. But it’s what I’ve got. I said, “What should I do?” He said, “Baby girl, get up and dance.” So, I got up, got dressed, and put on my funky red boots. I put on the coffee and started cooking up a pan of hash browns and bacon. And then I crossed the threshold into the world of Paul Thorn of Tupelo, Mississippi. I spent the next two hours dancing…my heart filled with joy and gratitude. Here’s to God…and good friends. Thanks for sending me what I need!

“Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would take up his lyre and play. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and the evil spirit would leave him.”
