Hire me. I’m looking for the perfect job. Hire me, pay for my travel, and I’ll write about it! Sound good? Yeah, it does. Will it happen? Stranger things have! I’ll just send that little thought out into the Universe and let it gather some light and see what comes back to me. In the meantime, the reality is, we have to pay for our own travel.

I did a search of the internet and found a neat website. Women Traveling Together. They offer tours in groups no larger than 18 women travelers. 80% of the women who purchase trips are traveling unaccompanied. Once you are signed up, you can enter a secure area on their website and get to know the others on the trip ahead of time and find common interests. They also offer a membership program for $45 a year which allows you access to other solo travelers for meet and greets and planning travel outside of WTT. There is a bulletin board for posting a trip you are planning and announce you are looking for a travel companion (or two or five!).

The prices are pretty hefty. But the tours look organized, the activities look like fun, and there is safety in numbers. That security is worth a lot to women traveling alone.
