Wanderlust

I’ve got it again. There’s a festival in the mountains this weekend. I think I might run up there and catch some live music and a funnel cake! I’m making plans for my next big trip. I’m leaving 6/26 for a circuit of Colorado. I’m visiting family and friends, hitting a music festival in Snowmass, then heading to my friend’s place overlooking Mesa Verde. We’re going to discuss my book and push to get it published this year. I need to be back in Denver by the 3rd for a concert I bought tickets for two months ago. I’ll be free till the kids return on the 8th from their vacation then I will have my babies for a week. The next month will fly by!

I bought a pickleball paddle today! I’m looking for a place where I can learn this fun game. People everywhere are playing it. It’s a cross between tennis, badminton, and ping-pong played with a paddle and a wiffleball. It’s played on a court half the size of a regular tennis court. Boomers are doing it because it’s easier on the knees. It’s something I can learn to play and take anywhere. Low investment. High yield of fun!

I love living in this camper. It’s as close to living outside as I can get and still have walls and a roof around me. I am living on two acres, parked between the shed and the garden. I can lay in bed at night and hear the trains passing through. You would hardly know I’m really only about a half mile from a very busy intersection in a major suburb of Denver. I’m very comfortable here. I am most appreciative of my son-in law’s parents for allowing me to stay here for the summer.

“Like a bird that flees its nest is anyone who flees from home.”

Proverbs 27:8
