Last night was the eighth and final, night of the Revival at the little white church on the hill. I missed two nights but was happy I got to attend last night.
Pastor Matt sent us out with renewed faith and refreshed spirits. We often reach places in our faith where we sleepwalk and just go through the motions. The purpose of Revival is to wake us up, to learn, and to get a fire in our bellies. Mission accomplished. So many little churches are withering up because the elders are dying off and the young people aren’t attracted by the dryness that is so often the hallmark of the services.
When you get fired up and you step into the Light…that darkness will do whatever it takes to bring you down. I’ve seen it happen in my own life too many times to doubt the validity. True to form..in the span of five hours I was slapped hard in three different directions. I won’t go into details because they aren’t my stories to tell, but there was evil and darkness attached to two of them, as plain as day. The third was a friend suffering an injury in an accident. I don’t back down. I won’t be scared back into the shadows. I stand strong.
I am comforted by the picture above. A woman who attended the Revival was walking out last night when I caught a glimpse of her well worn Bible. I called her back and snapped this picture. This is the book that brings this woman the most comfort. This book is written with living words. You can read a verse a hundred times and it takes on a different meaning each time. I’ve learned a lot this week. I’ve opened up a lot, felt a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot. I’ve been healed and set free of bonds that wore me down. I shared my story with others. I woke up. May I never go to sleep again. ❤️
“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”

Amen!!! May we never fall asleep! Thank you for sharing your heart.
