I love “God moments.” When I get out of my car on Sunday mornings, I say a prayer between the parking lot and the door. It’s always the same. “Lord, please open my eyes and my ears, my heart, and my mind to Your Word. Let me learn from You and use that Knowledge in the coming week. Amen”
I haven’t been as involved with my church as I would like. Also, I’ve noticed the members don’t really go around and meet each other like they should. At the meet-and-greet coffee break, folks usually go visit with those they know. As I was heading in this morning, I got this very clear picture. I need to be a greeter! I’m a cheerleader. I’m a hugger. I’m happy and bubbly. I was BORN to do this! So…I added in my prayer “Oh, and Lord, let me greet Your children and welcome them into Your House.”
At the break, I was talking with an old friend. A woman came up and said, “Excuse me. I was asked by ****** ***** to come over here and ask you if you would like to be a greeter. You have such a friendly way about you and your smile just lit up the place when you came in this morning!”
I kid you not! I love how God works!
