We finished packing the truck at around 11:00 yesterday morning. Just in time to have a farewell lunch with Ben and Sue before we had to leave. The guys went over to Wendy’s and got us salads and we sat around the kitchen table and shared one last meal with two of the dearest people we have ever known. I will miss all my Colorado peeps buy my oh my…I’m so ready to be home!

We stopped at Mom’s…a little diner in Otis, Colorado…and got a to go order for our supper later at the hotel. We weren’t sure if there was food available in Yuma. Most places are only open for breakfast and lunch. Turns out, there is a lounge that serves food right in the lovely, brand new Cobblestone Inn & Suites. Impeccably clean and the staff that we dealt with were wonderful.

We will get up early this morning and head over to get Grace out of the Quonset hut and move on to our next stop in Kansas. We’ve been keeping our eyes on the weather and it looks like we’re missing storms so far. There was a terrible storm at home Monday night. We watched the lightning and heard the thunder over the security camera. The rain was coming down so hard that it overflowed the gutters and blocked out the camera’s view. Those gutters need cleaned out…they’re full of leafy debris.

We’re already thinking about all the the things we need to do when we get home!
