Who knew?

After a very long day at work, I headed for Denver. In order to cut an hour off my day, I drove down last night and slept in the trailer in the parking lot behind the office. It was a pretty easy commute this morning!

Arrived in Denver at 10 and we’re getting up early to head for Mt. Rushmore! I’ll post when I see something interesting.

I have been running around like a chicken today. Trying to get everything done before the next round of travel. This was taken in the front yard at my family farm. My grandma loved flowers. My aunt told me that all the flowers on the hillside beside the house had been lovingly transplanted from the old home place back on the hill. Grandma was a wonderful woman and was a perfect role model for her family.

This is one of Mr. Virgo’s pictures. I am sure you can see the difference in the quality of his photos and mine, but I keep trying.

Last night I reached a turning point in my grief process. Every person’s grief is different and no two people run on the same schedule. I was beginning to feel as though I was holding a heavy weight in my lap and it was getting more difficult to stand up. I know that is probably hard for you to believe because I really haven’t sat still very long since my husband died. I felt the heavy burden of grief was keeping me from moving forward in my life so, even though it has only been a little over four months, I made a decision.

Just got back from church. It was held at a private campground today with 10 Baptisms and a potluck. Doesn’t get much better than that!

I am cleaning out the trailer and Expedition today in preparation for the trip to Mt. Rushmore on Friday. My daughter Julie is so worried we won’t fit everyone in because I carry a boatload of stuff around with me. Just have to prove her wrong! :-)

Oh, my gosh! I passed 600 likes!!! Thank you all SO much for joining me on this amazing journey. I’m taking a little break here at home doing some deep cleaning that didn’t get done in the spring. I’m enjoying practicing mindfulness as I do each chore. Very Zen, cleaning the stove!
